Ok, so Im trying to replace my front muffler strap, and having serious difficulties getting to the washer to undo the muffler mount.. It seems to be inset, so how do you get a socket/wrench around it to loosen it?? Thanks

i am trying to picture what your saying. to actually take the strap you have to take the mount that is attached to the cases off. to get that off i just used a ratchet with a long allen head socket to go into the left side, the nut other right side of the mount just stayed there. this what all done with my muffler completely off. for that i just used a long exstention to remove the straps. i don't know if this is what your asking but i hope it helps

Yeah, that helps.. I just need better tools, trying to get a hex nut loose with a small allen key is not very wise, I needed some leverage. It was caked on with dirt and grime, and kinda seized on the mount.
