Young lady I know is thinking of a Firebolt.

Did they make a low version for the R ?

If so, what years?

No.

But I'm sure you could swap the suspension peices. You're kind of stuck with the seat hieght though.

Yep, that's what I thought.

Has anyone swapped out the suspenders?

Any issues?

Let's see how complicated we can make this.

She could get a bolt, put short suspenders on it.

She could get a bolt, put short suspenders on it, and trade out the tail for an S tail, get a short seat.

She could get a Lightning Sg, trade out the top triple for an R, put the clutch cable through the head light.

Ditto, but get a tall lightning, trade out the suspenders,
Then the triple, and get the low seat.

Any other ideas, my brothers?

We did it already.
We took an XB9S low's suspension (Black_sunshine's) and swapped it out with an XB9R's (rebecca's) suspension.
Worked great!
The R after was a hoot to ride, much more responsive IMO.
There are pictures of the swap (not step by step, more like party pictures, you know what it's like when you get a bunch of 3%ers together!) in the 3%er's section.
Brian, Diablobrian has done the swap as well.
It's a straight forward swap.

This guy is Johnny Turbo here in Florida, he was on Superbikes with Bobby from Roaring Toyz, also in Sarasota, anyway when I sold bikes I met a lady that had a Buell he lowered for her, it was really well done and he is a Turbo guru, makes some very fast bikes.
