Commuting, almost entirely stop and go city driving. I get 46MPG during the summer, down to 39MPG during the colder months(warm up time is far greater in those single digit temps).

A high of 61MPG on the hwy.

If I ride alone, or with the 3%ers I get about 45mpg. If I go with Bambi, I can do almost 60mpg. It's definitely related to the right wrist.

2nd that, Kdan. during break-in it was over 55mpg for me on my 06 xb9sx, but in the 4000 miles since, i've been heavy on the throttle and light on the front tire wear. : ) now i'm back in the 40-45 range no matter how hard i hit it.

I have seen as high as 50mpg on my stock bike with K&N and '07 airbox. I average 46-47 on long freeway at about 75-80. Don't think I have ever seen a tank below 43mpg.

On the interstate by myself, staying in high gear, going with the flow I've gotten 55.

Commuting to work with my lower gear ratio and kinda heavy throttle, 40-43 is about right.

I usually got 53-55 on 20+ mile trips to town, and 48-50 running fairly hard, and it once did 65mpg on the Blue Ridge Parkway(spd lmt 45). That was an '05 with a race kit.

Comparatively, my Ulysses runs about 4mpg less across the board.

What the heck is 13km per "k"... do you mean be 13km per liter?

50 Miles per Gallon would be 21.26 Kilometers per Liter. I think.

(Edit: Which equals 30.57 MPG. You must accelerate a LOT! And maybe your gas is formulated less efficiently.)

Bone stock 2005 XB9SX (except for handlebars) and I normally get mid 40's. If I am riding aggressive, I have gotten as low as 36 mpg. The highest was around 48 mpg.

What RPM range are you running? I have found that keeping the RPMs as low as possible makes a large difference in fuel mileage. Instead of 5000 + RPM shift at 4000 - and cruise at 2700 to 3200.

I did that comparison last year riding with another Uly. I ran low RPM and he ran about 1000 more. I got 48 MPG he did 43. That was running together getting fuel at the same stops for over 200 miles.
