When you say "Aluminum Cheesegrater" are you referring to eliminating the existing aluminum cheesegrater, or are you saying the replacement must be made of aluminum too?

Lots of brothers have cut off the Cheese grater, done it myself, in fact.

However, unless you are pretty handy, I recommend having Odie at Special Ops, one of our sponsors, do it for you. He does a real nice job, and charges a reasonable amount for the work.

This what it looks like.

American Sportbike sells a carbon fiber insert that replaces the aluminum cheesegrater with a carbon fiber piece, leaving everything else intact... but I don't know of anyone making an insert out of aluminum without the holes... sorry.

I BELIEVE the new SuperTT model has a solid insert, but it also has the model designation on it which wouldn't match the model you'd be putting it on.

I love doing things myself and I am pretty mechanically inclined. Either way it really cleans up the bike. Now all I need is the cash for Al's LED tail light!

We sell a license plate relocator bracket once you have cut the cheese grater off. The bracket along with our sliders were featured on one our BadWeB member's bikes in "Super Streetbike" magazine recently.
