have a 07 12R and want to put on a sec-ops pipe and a race ecm but want to know if i need to modify my air box. it already has the cut outs and need to know if to open it up more. |

Hi-flo air cleaner would be a good idea. K&N has one and Buell also makes one for the race kit. |

Do you NEED to mod the airbox?... no. But most people who have gone with a pipe and ecm mod also mod the airbox. However the O7 airboxes already have more cut outs than the 06 and older models so if I was you I dont think I would change mine. Alot of people with o6 bikes have tried to duplicate the 07 air boxes, but you already have one so... But yeah what beach buell said you might want a high flow filter but id probably wait till my stock one at least got dirty because I can almost guarantee that you will not notice much of any power differance between a clean stock filter and a k&n... |

The standard spec ops pipe with the exhaust servo will work, but it will not work with the race ECM. The race ecm does not support the exhaust servo valve. I had Odie build me a spec ops pipe with dual outlets and without the servo valve. This works great with the race ECM and American Sport Bike's open air conversion. |
