Happy Holidays Y'all!

Check this out: http://www.gerhardmoerk.de/homeBUELL.htm

Looks a bit like a Remus but the output pipes look a little different. I don't speak German so I can't read a darn thing. More product information here:
http://www.hsaexhaust.de/shop/index.htm

Has anyone had any luck with one of these?

Cheers! - Delk

Okay...so those links are not so good. Here's some pictures...I really dig the "Race Black" Viper

The first pic is on the same site but not the exhaust I'm referring to...check out the XB Racing Viper:

Those last two look like a D&D that have different outlets and with more work put into the actual product.

And with more work into them.... where?? D&D's with different outlets.

I certainly can see how one could suggest similarities with the D&D exhaust, but it appears that the D&D's cans are much shorter. Note the attached picture of a D&D exhaust from American Sportbike's XB Exhaust Shootout:

The Remus here looks a bit closer in design:

What really got me excited about the HSA exhaust though (aside from what appears to be solid build quality) is the audio clip on their site...it sounds very mean.

Anyone have any comments or experience with these cans? Pretty Please???

Thanks - Delk

I was not saying they are the same.

Read my post again, I was saying they LOOK (referring to the cans here) like a D&D not that they were identical.

Please keep in mind were all going off of pictures here. I have owned a D&D (sold now) and was only implying that they looked alike and by these pictures they look like they have more quality built into them. This is JMHO and holds no merit if you have them both in hand and can judge off of that.

In closing let me state that I was one of those fortunate one's to have my D&D front mount snap off so that is why I say these LOOK like they are a better part but then again how much can I really justify this when looking through a computer screen at a picture?

Yep, I ran a HSA on my XB12R in 2004 for a while.
Great midrange pipe. Lacked up top.
The welds were not nice.
The chin fairing brackets did not have threads, so you had to hold nuts on the backside while threading in the bolts, big PITA.
The exhaust outlets got ground off on the track. Probably ok for normal street riding.
I felt the inlet pipe was too short and too much angle for real good flow.
I think Remus and D+D has done a better job in that area.

PS
I sent the pipe back to HSA with my suggestions and never heard back from them.
Maybe they were pissed I ground up their new pipe?

There is the input we were all seeking. Dave's has had both in hand and can confirm that these are in fact not as nice as the D&D. So in my picture evaluations I was totally incorrect. I guess there is a first time for everything!

I used the Remus on the track too, and the outlets grounded to the point where the back wheel lifted. I sent it back to Remus and they sent me a brand new modified pipe for track use. The pipe still grounds slightly but I can't fault the service and it sounds great and runs well without the road baffles. All credit to Remus.

Yohinan if your D&D snapped its front mount that is most likely because you had a early model. I also had D&D and had a great experience other then the noise got some what to me after awhile. Actually I have seen the HSA and have seen the tips gound down and also the crap that an individual went through to get it corrected. Since I live in Wisconsin Do ya think I might of seen Daves also.
