Hey guys -

I'm in the middle of my S to R tail swap and need a little help with the positioning of internal components (ECM, Fuse box, tilt sensor, brake reservoir). I've actually got it 'roughed' in but would like to see some photos of bikes that have already been done to make sure that I'm placing things in the best spot. I'd hate to get it all together and then find out that there's a better way.

I know that this topic's been covered before, and I've done the search on it (so please don't flame me) and actually got a lot of helpful information from previous posts, but there were no photos.

Thanks in advance for the help!

P.S. - I'm still looking for a rider seat if anyone has a spare they'd like to sell.

let me try to get some pictures later today.
i fit everything under the riders seat.

ecm on top of battery (got rid of battery strap...seat holds it tight and in place), tilt sensor is zip tied to subframe. brake reservoir is attached to subframe, using a self tapping screw and a small angle bracket. not the perfect way of doing things,,,,but i've had it like this for more than two years (with numerous track days) with no problems. cant remember where i put the fuse box.

That should help a lot. I really like your bracket for the brake reservoir, I will definitely be doing the same thing. I'm thinking that I may locate the ECM in the 'trunk' space just to give everything a little more room.

Thanks for the photos!

I put the ECM in the "trunk" after removing the plastic tray under the cowl. Works fine, and there is still some place for a good sized emergency tire repair kit

there is a spot to mount the brake resi on the subframe...you have to buy a resi for the firebolt...put ecm in the trunk...don't bother with the trunk insert...i just mounted it with heavy duty velcro to the inside of the undertail
