I've been looking for ways to customize the look of my bike, mostly a new windscreen. I ran across this ridiculously expensive fairing from GSG Moto (over $800!), and just had to see what it would look like.

I LOVE it. Dunno if I could ever bring myself to part with that much $$$ just to change the look though! What do you think?

I think It doens't work with the lines of the bike. The bike is roundish and that head piece has sharp cuts. It might even look better with out the lolly pops.

Looks like it could be the new Bolt fairing.

Looks a little Bimota or Aprilla to me. I like it.

Looks like the headlights might be a bit brighter than stock.

Got any idea how to mount it?

I like it. It looks a little more cafe racer but I'm not sure how I feel about the headlights.

it has potential, but looks too small and under proportion on the bike...

"it has potential, but looks too small and under proportion on the bike..."

LOL! That's sarcasm, right? If it were any bigger, it'd look like a H-D Road Glide!

I think the styling matches very well... notice the subtle creasing along the outer edges that appears to have a very similar shape to the creasing in the air box cover. The only thing actually angular is the shape of the headlights. The lollipops would definitely have to go!

It's frame mounted, like the Firebolt. I'd probably have to ditch my Uly handguards to use it.

EDIT: I'm actually not sure about how it mounts. The description says "frame mounted", so I had assumed that meant the bike frame. Looking at an installed pic though, I think it may be mounted to the forks. That would explain the little bolt hole at the bottom/front.

With different bars and minus the mirrors I would like it.

I can't do much about the bars, but how about some nice Rizoma reverse bar end mirrors?

Do the headlights work better than the stock ones?

I wouldn't buy it. It looks out of place on the Lightning.

The mirrors are cool though.

In keeping with the naked them of the Lightning, you could swipe a pair of lights form the Triumph Speed Triple

SM - a matching seat cowl would look sweet and finish off the look. Photoshop one of those on!

Alright, how 'bout this, then? Added a seat cowl (okay, just colored the seat, really), and added some projector-style fog lights. I hate Speed Triple lights... they're just TOO big, and of course there's nowhere to put them with this fairing! It's quickly beginning to look like something out of a Sci-Fi flick.

Also added in the front turn signal... forgot that on the last ones!

THat fairing makes the bike look club-headed, imho. Like that comic book character with the huge helmet...

Nothing wrong with a bit of fairing, after 4 straight days riding in the rain this week, I have been thinking about more fairing for my M2...

I looked at both of those. Can't beat the price, but the styling betrays that fact... they look a bit cheap. That 1st fairing is just too darn strange (you think the fairing I used BEFORE didn't match the bike!?), and the Raptor looks like a 98 Katana, which I never much cared for.

Love the Juggernaut reference!
"Do you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut bike!!!"

Keep in mind though, since I'm mixing all these pics together from different sources, I'm having to guestimate their size relationship. I may have some things out of proportion... no way to tell unless I actually buy the stuff (which, unless I hit the lottery, probably ain't happening!).

Honestly that fairing looks awesome. If I saw that on the road I would have to stop and look at it. Very cool. It works on the bike. It does not look out of place to me at all. Just very unique, maybe all of you guys want it to look like a GSXR/CBR/ZX whatever... If you have the cash and the time to screw with it to mount and wire it up, go for it man.

I saw a pic of some guys Lightening that put a vrod headlight on it. Looked very cool. Italian American. lol. But that does not have a fairing. Good job at the photoshop by the way, I wish I could do that.
