This is a custom made bracket. Its raised up and angled more out. (If it will load)  | ||

 This got me pulled over a couple of years ago. According to the MAN they have to be able to EASILY read it. Before I had it literally horizontal. | ||

When I had my tag mounted like pic 1 I got harassed, after I moved it down never had a problem, and was pulled over a couple times like that. | ||

Yes and no ... the stand didn't actually break, the bolt did ... and I noticed a "slight" lean to the bike .... so as a precautionary measure I parked it there till I got a new bolt.  | ||

The rules are that your license plate must remain in the factory position, and be illuminated by a white light. Will anybody enforce them? Try your luck and see. I modified my stock mount, just to clean up all the stupid reflectors and metal pieces that were totally unnecessary.  | ||

Latest license plate rule around Houston is that no part of the numbers can be obscured in any way. We have an automated toll system on the toll roads here that scans your toll tag and compares it to your license plate to make sure the tag is on the proper vehicle. If the numbers don't match up, they send you a ticket. Never mind how I know this... rt | ||

RT, that is crap. I got a red light ticket here in GA, Two actually(one was a gift from my wife!) and I will never pay the fine! I told them to kiss my A$$ it is a civil case and if they want the money to come find it! Have not heard from them since!! | ||

One of the things I like about the plate location way under the seat is the safety factor. If you get into a catastrophic accident, a license plate whizzing around like a scythe at the end of your bike could be deadly. I'm relocating mine as far in as the local law will let me. |
