Not if I can figure out how to get paid for dropping it 5,00 feet out of the balloon first.

Now back to not posting here anymore

Just a question

Skyguy,

Get Red Bull to sponsor the first balloon aided motorcycle free fall by a parachutist.

You should be able to get at least $10,000 for that. That way, you would be rid of the bike.

You could even put lemon stickers all over the bike to make yourself feel better.

Then you could buy a good dependable Moto Guzzi.

Skyguy,

I was merely suggesting options as to how you might extricate yourself from your ownership while minimizing your financial exposure. I was not making it personal as was BF.

I have a right to disagree with your assertion that because your bike is bad that ALL Buells are bad. I do not have the right to make the disagreement personal.

That was my point. As I said, you should sell it and move up to something more dependable like a Ural.

Well I'd love to sell my 3,500 mile immaculate CityX to someone for a mere $5,900.00 but can't seem to get any takers. I just don't have the time to ride between running a business and spending time with my kids.

Insurance at $100 a month is a real ball buster as well. On top of that Buell's dealer support network is non-existant, I'd love to be able to find parts or accessories locally and perhaps meet some other people to ride with as well. But with a Buell your always the odd man out, the cruisers don't like you and the sport bike guys don't get it...

Look I don't mean to turn this into a Buell bashing thread, I love the bike, it's been great fun but it looks like I'm stuck with it forever... it's just a little frustrating.

My apologies FT, my comment was meant to have been directed at BF. I got my letters confused. Again my apologies.

I am not out to win a online popularity contest. I have enough friends in the real world.....................

I could especially care less about making friends with a bunch of fellas that think it is ok to not like someone based on whether or not they think Buells are good or bad bikes.

In fact I have many friends in the real world that have differing opinions on all kinds of things. I even have friends that are republicans and voted for Bush!!!!

I value integrity, honesty and the ability to disagree with others without thinking less of them for having a differing opinion.

My opinions regarding Buell have been formed on my experience and reading the posts of numerous other people with the same type of problems. I think premature belt failures, bad wire routing and crappy headlights are dangerous and not acceptable for a $10,000 bike.

Having spent 2,000 dollars in 17,000 miles fixing things that have failed PREMATURELY is just not acceptable. Spending months trying to get my wheel bearings fixed under the recall is even worse.

Those that wish to think less of me for being very upset and vocal over it are welcome to. They are not the type of people I would have for friends in the first place .

I am one of the happiest people in the world despite my Buell. How could I not be? I fly hot air balloons for a living and am drinking champagne with my clients and done with my day by the time most folks get their first potty break at work.

I also flew paragliders for a living for nearly 13 years and have been paid big money for appearances on Ripleys, Guiness and a host of other TV shows. My life has been one giant ball of fun.

I posted all that stuff above just to show some of you folks that just because I have a serious problem with Buell and whine about it online that it is possible to still be happy. The POS bike has not even come close to affecting what kind of person I am or how I live my life.

Please do not hesitate to flame away as it actually makes me laugh most of the time. One of the things about the internet that I think is pretty funny is that people read other peoples posts and hear the "tone" that they are most likely feeling themselves.

If they are angry people they hear angry posts. If they are happy people they hear happy tones. Thats why they invented those little emoticons............... I think it is kind of fun not to use them though.

Mike, careful your on thin BadWeb ice lol.....

For what it is worth had my Buell proven to be a SAFE and reliable machine I would want to keep it forever. When working it sounds, feels and handles wonderfully. I even enjoy being different and like the fact that few can catch me in the twisties on a 80 horsepower bike. I also don't care about "fitting in".
(obviously).

I do think it is quite funny how some folks go on and on about what a great bike it is when the resale market is non-existent. Seems to me consumers at large have made up their minds as to how great the Buells are (:

The die hard Buell fans need their own island where they can live in comfort surrounded by their peers. Oh wait they have one it's called BADWEB! I have to admit it is kind of fun rowing my boat over once in awhile....................

>The die hard Buell fans need their own island where they can live in comfort surrounded by their peers.

And all the roads would be racetracks with and free gas and tires. Also, free beer and steaks every night!
And there would be a Harley shop that knows all about Buells... okay that part isn't very realistic.
Only one question, can I bring my "other" bikes, or would this get me thrown off the island?

Oh Pup, your ignorance and child like mind once again come screaming from your posts. It's best not to threaten people you don't know. How easy it is to get you going. Florida? My wife does have a Cousin in Orlando. Joke? You've proven yourself to be just that time and time again. Case in point..... see above. Like to shoot off your mouth, but can't take it. How typical.
Again, have a nice Holiday!

Integrity would be honoring agreements, like the one governing participation here.

Coming here to badmouth the place, the people here, and Buell motorcycles? That ain't integrity, it's just petty and mean.

In my experience, happy folks are rarely petty or mean. They tend to be magnanimous and kind.

Here's wishing everyone happiness and good fortune. : )

Blake, not my intention to get in a pissing match with you. I should have kept the "junk" comment to myself. What can I say but it was a moment of weakness................

You however, are far from being in a position to determine if I have integrity or am a happy guy though.

Happy with Buell, defiantly not, Happy with petty insults for not liking the brand is IMHO just narrow minded stupidity. The way some of the folks here react to anything negative about Buell is just freaking stupid narrow minded B.S.

Think of it this way if you would.

If people are required to only post good things about Buell how would BMC ever know that there are some things that need to be fixed in both design and customer service?

When a dog can not learn through positive re-enforcement the only thing left is a rolled up newspaper to the nose. Sadly this is Buell. The proof is in the continued crappy headlights and making customers pay through the nose for their mistakes.

I have never (not even once) gotten personal with anybody on this (or any other) website.
I (like pup) think that there are more than a few folks here that are comfy tossing out insults to anyone they disagree with.

While I can appreciate many of Badwebs policies I have noticed that you seem to allow petty name calling when used in defense of Buell. Dude, it is just a motorcycle.......................

And IMHO not a very good one!

Regardless, I really do hope you have a nice holiday and life treats you as well as it treats me.

Ciao

Training a dog is repetition not a rolled up newspaper. Sorry Skyguy you know nothing about training a dog that I can see. You never hit a dog in the nose. My breed of dog would most likely take your arm off in due time for hitting him that way.

Bads1 ASSumptions............ I happen to have a superbly trained Red Wolf Shepard hybrid. Responds to hand signals.........

my comment was simply an example, not a manual on dog training. However based on your theory of repetition (an accurate one) I can only hope by repeating myself about how unsafe Buells are and uncaring BMC has been that there will be a change...................

It not an ASSumption. You used your example as to how to train a dog. So you are also telling me how you handle your dog.
