Well, after 6000 miles, my bike left me stranded. At least she died in a populated area.

Last weekend I was enjoying the 55 degree weather and suddenly noticed my check engine light on. There was an Auto Zone up the road so I pulled in. I shut off the bike and checked the fluids. Everything appeared to be in order. I then tried to fire up the bike and....Click, click, click. Dead battery. It doesn't appear to be charging. I called my dad for a ride, got a jump from the Auto Zone guy and headed for home. I made it around 3 miles before she started running crappy and finally died. Oh well, winter is here so there is plenty of time to get it running.

sounds like a charging system failure to me...check the KV you'll find plenty of posts on the subject. Probably covered under warranty. Good luck.

I once was left stranded by my 05 12R.. turns out that about the only bolts not locktited are the battery conections. luckily I checked that first and my tool kit was there and adequate enouph to tighten the bolt and go to work even though I was late. lol

Be sure that the connectors from the voltage regulator and from the stator and be
sure that the pins make a good connection.

Several people have found the pin sockets in the deutsch connectors to be loose and not
making a good connection at those two connectors.

Of course that would be after being sure that your battery connections are good.
