Hey Ramon..
If you get it.. I'll come out and help ya. I'm sure I could offer up a few ideas.. If nothing else, I'd be able to help with the 'promotional pictures' side of things.. hehehehehehe..

A few of the guys at Seminole HD were pretty cool about the Buells even before they made the stand alone shop. They were really cool about test rides, and in fact they were the ones who opened my eyes to Buells after letting me test ride one. I hope they do really well. I second the notion that they should sell used metric bikes along side the Buells to get sportbike riders in the door to check out what Buells are all about. I think 95% of sportbike riders are clueless about what a XB is really like. I know that for years I thought they looked nice, but I was weary of the 'Harley connection'. I test rode a couple, and I totally changed my mind. Eric, you did a great job! The sportbike guys need to give one a try!!

I think there are a lot of sport bikers that just like to go fast and that is pretty much why most of them opt for the R1 or CBR1000 or even Hayabusa type bikes. We have to re-educate them that you can only go so fast on the street and that speed is not where it's at, which is the Buell frame of thinking. All anyone cares about are HP #s. A lot of them wonder why buells are double the disp. but make less power then metric 600s. Most of them have much to learn about motorcycles in general.

were you saying the first ever stand alone Buell dealer is in Seminole County? Or that this is the first stand alone in Seminole County? There have been at least two other stand alone Buell shops in California, even though both as i understand it are no longer stand alone!

Pete,

You'd be one of the first people I'd talk to before jumping into this.

Looking into it... Unless something extraordinary happens, I'm waiting for my Robin to be out of HS first.

Tonight, our local little bike group met at the New Buell dealer north of Orlando. The HD dealer moved to a new site and they openned a stand alone Buell only store in their old space. It was interesting to walk into a shop that had 12 new Buell's inside, a few more outside, a full wall of Buell clothes and accessories. I don't know if they will survive, but it was nice to see a shop not dominated by HD. They said they hope to sell 120 bikes a year and will allow demos rides anytime, give us a 15% discount on parts.

They are a little harder to get to for me, but about the same distance as Lakeland, so I will try and support them as much as possible.

While there, I talked to a mechanic, told him my problems as of late, looked at the XB9, which is too high for me, but the low seat off a xb12 did fit it, so it wasn't too bad. I would be more comfortable if it were 2 inches lower, maybe low profile tires : )
