Well promotion is done but the price is still pretty decent cheaper than the regular Corsa.. Maybe Pirelli is cutting the prices just to get the tires out there.. Anyways I know quite a few people are riding them.. How are they after having them a while now? Also how are they holding up... | ||

I like mine. I've been on two trips with them. 2400+ to northern Virginia and Deals Gap and 800 miles to Hilton Head, SC. I have to say they are excellent in the rain. I felt very sure footed in some pretty heavy downpours. They handle nice in the corners too as I used them on the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway for a couple of days. With over 4000 miles on them they still have a great deal of tread left. | ||

I have over 1000 on mine as well, and they are great.. However, I have noticed they like to "track" the grooves on the freeway a bit, as they have rather deep tire grooving, but even then it is a pretty miniscual complaint!! Do it, you will love them. Bruce P.S. this should be in the KV!! | ||

In my opinion they are awesome. The Duc 749R came standard with Diablo Corsas and those that know me might remember that I have been an advocate of Corsas for a long time (at least 3 sets on my XB12R). To make a long story short, I put them on the Ducati recently and went to the track where I found them to be even more grippy than the original (which makes sense considering they have the same center compound, but softer sides on the rear tire). There is more squirm now on the rear. The front seems to turn in with less effort, but that could just be the profile of a new tire. What was most amazing is that they seem to be wearing better. My riding buddy was always joking that Pirelli must love me because I am leaving rubber marks coming out of a lot of corners (ie: spinnning it up). Well on a long uphill canyon run I started to think something was wrong with the bike because it was bogging a little off of the apexes. I realized it was probably just the increased grip so I used a lower gear. Later my friend confirmed it-no more streaks on the road from my back tire. Previously I have gone through three Corsas on the Duc in just 5300 miles and two WSIR track days. xbolt12  (Message edited by xbolt12 on December 03, 2006) | ||

I'll have them this week... Hopefully I can be riding them by christmas.. They were actually cheaper than the other corsa's probably not for much longer? | ||

You'll love em. I got mine mounted and balanced for about the same as the best price I ever got (20% discount)on the old Corsas. Can't beat the price/performance for that. I would really like to try Dragons, but price keeps me from it. It might feel a little squishy on the rear when leaned way over and on the gas, but once you adjust, you can feel what the tire is doing better than on the single compound Diablo Corsas. Also I think it is a better design than the dual compound Pilot Powers as the soft compound strip is way wider and covers about 1/4 to 1/3 of the tread. On the Michelins, the band of soft compound is very narrow... |
