Yeah, but that Breitling has the same movement as the Oris on my wrist. "Pretty box, same guts!" We rolled up on a 70 year old dood on a brand new ZX-14 wearing a T-shirt, shorts, flip flops and a chrome "Hitler" helmet. He also had a 26 year old chick on the back. |

Yeah but that's an original German helmet bare metal and rusty, and it has a very very rare 17/21st Lancers 'Charge of the Light Brigade' cap badge too. Only issued for one year, I forget which. The idea is, it adds a certain irony. Ft B, I like those Audemars Piaget's. Can't say I've seen them before. Do they sell less expensive models? $35k is a lot of brass for a watch! Rocket |

but why skimp only to save a little cash. buy the top of the line, it's only money. even if it meets the same standards as the $35,000 watch, it wont be as good |

It's important to understand saving dollars on a helmet is not the same as saving dollars on a watch, unless you're a diver and buying a divers watch, or you're rowing around the world with your dick in your hand and a satellite bleeping Breitling on your wrist Rocket |

They just don't make 'em. If you can't step up, you can't have one. I thought it was hilarious in Terminator 3 that he broke into a $5,000 truck and finds a $35,000 watch.
Now if you really want a watch, step up for the Tag V4.
It's only $100,000. |

No wonder I've not heard of a Audemars Piaget. I've not seen Terminator 3!! That reminds me........ What is the true purpose of that watch, or is it just an industrious looking fashion statement? As for the Tag. 9 years ago I bought a 2000 series chrono. £1000 should buy you a quality watch. It was great until the original battery died after maybe 4 years. Since then it has been nothing but trouble. The chrono functions went out of sync (twice). The rotating bezel is a joke as it moves with the slightest of touch from clothing etc, despite a new spring fitted. I had to have a new face and hands fitted about three years ago because moisture penetrated the chassis and settled on the luminous stuff making little bobbles. It's a double gasket sealed chassis water tight to 200 meters. I've been no deeper than a bath with it on my wrist. Still, it's a nice looking watch with the black face and dials. Rocket |

The AP has flip up button guards. It is completely hand crafted with an original AP movement. It is definitely not just a pretty box (Cartier, Movado). Your first problem was buying a watch with a battery. If you want a GOOD Tag/Heuer, you need to buy one of the new mechanical watches. They utilize the ETA 2892 base movement which is utilized in several different manufacturer's watches. It's as bulletproof as the Valjoux 7750 or Lemania 5100 movements. All are smallblock V-8/V-Twin strong. As far as the leaking, watches must be serviced every 2-3 years to keep the seals good. Sinn watches have a cool way to tell when your watch needs to have the seals replaced/service completed. They have an indicator that changes colors when the oxygen to argon levels indicate that all the argon has left the watch. |
