The bad news is my xbs12 was stolen lastnight.

The good news is it was recovered a few streets down, the ignition lock was punched with a screw driver, but they could not get it to turn.

My guess is it was for crack money since the bike was not hauled away in a van.

Post this to inform other buellers in the area. I guess I got start putting the lock on the bike from this point forward.

Get yourself a Xena 15 rotor lock. It has a huge locking pin with a built in alarm.

Isn't Daytona a beautiful town when there is no large event occurring?

I'm am now thinking about making my Blue Buell ugly or not as eye catching. Maybe do a rattle can job on the plastic.

For two wheels, Daytona is hard to beat. Not a lot of twisties but lots of good weather and very scenic.

Thanks for the invite, but my Buell is in the shop from the damage done by the thieves.

Have a beer for me and keep the rubber side down.

I pulled some video logs and have these observations:
-They will scope the future crime scene and knew about my video camera. They will wear clothing so they cannot be ID.
-They hit at night around 2am ( probably after the bar closes)
-They tried two weeks earlier. If they cannot get the bike they will vandel it. They broke my blinker ( i was not sure how it broke previousely, thought it may have been a vandel while I was out about town.) The 1st time had a zena disc alarm, but the bats. are dead, new one are in the mail. This did not deter them.

The Daytona area is very beautiful, scenic and peaceful when no events are going on. But, DAMN is it boring! Unless you like to go out riding from bar to bar, there ain't much to do there really. There are some real nice country roads and A1A beach side is beautiful too, but once that gets old, then what?

Beachbuell you probably haven't ridden out west around tavares/clermont/ocala, thats where the best riding is. I usually go out there every sunday. It's as close as you get to the canyons in Fla.

I used to live not far from Clermont. Been to MT. Dora, Leesburg and know the area well. The riding is great, But thats about it. Theres nothing to do once the riding is over or gets old.

It was in the Palm Coast area, one town over (so not really Daytona, but about 15 mins North of Daytona).

Hi Pokinatcha

If I recall correctly, you had the grey buell with an awesome sounding exhaust.

Hope to see you on A1A sometime soon.
