Yes checked Knowledge Base. Apparently the Jardine slip-on fits Uly but mixed reviews (good sound, little performance gain?) However those posts weren't new--is anything else available for Uly that has come out recently? Opinions welcome--I just bought this bike and haven't owned a Buell since 02 (01 Cyclone) so I'm trying to catch up on what's available. TIA!

All XB exhausts will fit the Uly.

Take a look at the exhaust shootout on the American Sport Bike website for hard numbers and
Al's take on the good, bad, and ugly of each of the main players.

Also, on the other side of the pond in Europe Trojan-Horse and Hillbilly-Motors have a
bunch more options we don't see over here in the US. Matt at Trojan and Jens at Hillbilly
can help you work out which of those suit the Uly best, what kind of quality each pipe
is, and if they are systems or mufflers.

You can find all 3 I mentioned in the sponsor section if I didn't get the key words right : )

Al at American Sport Bike did all the work on that exhaust shootout, and if there is ever a stronger testimony to what works... I've not seen it.

Al's Uly sports the full Micron system. Call him, he'd love to tell you all about I'm sure.

Just to clarify, I compiled the data and wrote the report, but a whole bunch of us did the test work. It was a huge effort on a lot of peoples part, Kevin (KDFab), Terry (Vallejo), Craig, Warren, Troy and others.

For Domestically available pipes, most of the answers you seek are in the report.

I stand corrected, but it never would have happened without you man! You were the catalyst, the impetus, the driving force!

I appreciate the work of everyone involved too.

Your work making sense of all the data accumulated is what made it all useful to us.

Not to mention the knowledge that your integrity was behind the results, not someone
that had/has ulterior motives.

In the American Sport Bike shootout, it appeared that the Buell Race Muffler faired pretty well. I like the sound and others have said that they liked it as well. I know everyone wants to be original and create their own mousetrap muffler.

Is there a reason that someone out there hasn't created an aftermarket version of the Buell Race Muffler?

I would like to see that aftermarket race muffler myself....but for now I like the Drummer, I have one on my Uly and I'm sure I will have one on my Firebolt before winter is over.....

of interest to me was how well the stock muffler performed in the shootout

I just prefer the look of the Race Muffler. I like the look of the stock can, and the Race Muffler is as close to stock as you can get. The shorter mufflers just don't seem to look right.

I also would still like to have the structural strength of the stock/race muffler. I might want to take the Uly off road. I think a D&D or Drummer SS would fair poorly as a bash plate.

I know first hand that the Race muffler can take a beating.

PLEASE SOMEONE OUT THERE RECREATE THE RACE MUFFLER AS AN AFTER-MARKET.

PEOPLE WILL BUY IT.

The factory race can is no longer in production. Myself, I like the looks of the Ti-Force over any other unit I have seen.

I want to get rid of my chin fairing soooo bad... but the race can is soooo ugly on the front end, I just can't do it.

Pwnzor,

"Is there a reason that someone out there hasn't created an aftermarket version of the Buell Race Muffler?"

AND

"PLEASE SOMEONE OUT THERE RECREATE THE RACE MUFFLER AS AN AFTER-MARKET.

PEOPLE WILL BUY IT."

I KNOW it's not in production, but it wouldn't take someone with the know how to recreate it as an aftermarket item.

The D&D is a pretty tough piece. I've seen what a speed bump can do to a stock muffler when its on a cg model...it doesn't fair well. I'd like to see you be that rough on a Uly that you'd need a muffler that would stand up to that abuse anyways.

I've been putting bashplates inside the Drummers for Uly owners upon request, all you have to do is say so....
