You make it sound like i blew through them at 50 i rolled though around 5. I refuse to put my feet down at stops when i can see all traffic around me. But i will cop to the 3rd that one was a bit naught | ||

It's always interesting to see rides in other parts of the world. It sure does look different to lil' ole England. Is it the camera or are there patches of beat-up road surface, like the top layer is missing ? | ||

Looks like that would have been filmed in Pennsylvania, I live in Maine and find the condition of the roads up here to be similar. You get a real winter, lots of freezing with pot holes and frost heaves, the holes and bad spots get patched piecemeal and then you have a lot of spots with mixed old and new paving. Eventually they get around to repaving the whole street and the process starts all over again as soon as the pot holes start again. One of the downers on riding secondary roads up here is the need to keep an eye open for long running cracks and patches, deteriorating shoulders, and all the other little things that cause those little "seat nibbling" instabilities in the front end. On the video, most of the noise is from wind hitting the microphone. You can cure that by taping a piece of foam rubber (1/8-1/4" thick) over the microphone opening. Cut a hole in the tape if it suppresses too much sound. Jack | ||
