I used to live out there and couldn't find any shop that was worth a damn. The HD dealer caused more problems then they fixed, and I can't remember the name of the little shop that I tried, but they were shady and not very friendly.

I go to Dtwn H/D-Buell in Tukwilla. (about 30mi from Ft. Lewis, N on I-5).

They've done me good on TPS zeros. My Uly runs great. The tech (Kevin Garrison) is friendly and knowledgeable. They've been pretty good to me on warranty issues as well. I honestly don't think they have direct link. Here is their web site. http://downtownhd.com/(sorry, that is the best I can do with a web link) All the other work I do myself.

I would like to find someone in the area who has the software for the TPS zeros and maybe direct link also. If there is anyone local speak up! I'd rather visit a fellow Bueller to get that done.....I'd buy the beer and pay for the time also.

BTW, Thomas when you get here shoot me a pm, I'll show ya some great local rides.

I wouldn't mind finding this info either. Downtown Harley in Tukwila hasn't been too bad to me either but stay away from Downtown Harley in Lynnwood, they've given me nothing but headaches.
In the spring, lets try to get all the area Buellers together for a ride and a couple of beers!

http://www.downtownharley.com will get you to the Tukwila store site. Kevin is a great Buell tech. He looked out for me at the 10K servicing on my XB9S when there was a snafu on pricing. Ask for him. He worked on my Blast back in '00 so he has been there awhile.

Just ask them when they're going to put the Buells back on the showroom.

Maybe we could do something between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I use heated electric gear and ride year-around. I just don't care for rain. Some days the weather really is nice here in the PNW for winter day rides.

I could plan something, but I always have this strong urge to always want to include some gravel. (although there are lots of awesome day rides involving only pavement!). Maybe someone else has some ideas on a route, if so chime in. If not, I could come up with something.

I plan on getting the direct link eventually, but I'm in Kenmore, near Seattle. I may get it sometime this winter, but I have maaaany other projects on the burner.

I was in DT Harley in Tukwila a few months ago and they had Buells in the showroom - the "other" showroom, way off to the left. Past the shirts, past some other parts ... hey there's some Buell gear, must be getting warm...oh, here they are.

I bought my Buell Ulysses at D/T HD in Tukwilla and I was treated very well.
I also bought an S-1 in 1997 at Destination HD in Tacoma and wasn't treated very well. I went to pick it up and it was filthy and the sales staff new very little about Buells at that time. I think East side has some good Buell people working there Scott Moon used to race an S-1.

I have a direct link, but I'm on Whidbey Is. Also, even though I have a direct link, you need your own "key" for the direct link to work on any other bike.

Debueller, send me a PM if you want to set something up. I don't have heated gear, but I have warm gear and plan on riding through the winter.

Sam

I would love to ride this winter sometime but my bike is torn apart right now, undergoing some upgrades. Hopefully I will be done in the next month or two, but you know how these things go. I am definitely in for a group ride as soon as the bike is back together!

After RMC bought Downtown Harley the Buells were removed from the showroom and plopped near the service desk. That space was halved for more HD chrome last month. Last time I was there the 8 or so Buells were under a large stairwell. Looks like a squeeze play to me (who bought 2 Buells and 1 HD over 20 years there).

I hope the Buells will take their rightful place in the main showroom again soon.

Hopefully Bob Lamphere (new owner) will do us Buellers good.

BTW, did you all hear that Russ Tom (old owner), was killed last month in a helicopter crash last month? link

I really hate to see the indoor racetrack at RMC go. Fun place to get a racing fix during the winter.

Russ Tom was a good friend. A good guy. Such a shock to hear about his passing.

Russ introduced me into Harleys in 1986 and Buells in 2000. He is missed.

Riding out on the Olympic Peninsula Weekly. If it is raining and wet, we do dual sport. Only thing that will stop us is snow & Ice. Check out the website www.legendh-d.com "The Twisted Edge" The Buell Riders Pitstop. 4 Buells on the showroom floor now, 6 coming in the next month including the new TT.
