OK so I finally used the google BadWeB link and I love it. Way better then the other Search link. But I did not find an answer.

Is there such a thing as a quiet performance exhaust for XBs? I only have the wav files from the exhaust shootout to go from and they all sound pretty loud. I would like something as quiet as the stock exhaust but gives performance. I am assuming that it just can not be done (my car has a BORLA exhaust and it is loud.) Just wondering, and sorry if this is a really stupid question.

Frankly, the Buell engineers did a really good job with the stock exhaust and produced exactly what you are talking about. It is no shabby part!

Every exhaust I've ever heard of that shows performance improvement over stock is significantly louder.

If there was an exhaust that performed and sounded the same as stock, but was 10 pounds lighter, that would get my attention.

The Remus/Sebring muffler has removable baffles for race use, it's L O U D without the baffles but reasonable with them fitted. Problem is the bike runs lean in the mid range with the baffles fitted.

I'm waiting for somebody to go buy the XBRR part and put it on a 12 or a 9 and dyno tune it. Rumor has it, it's quiet. It probably won't bolt right up though, you probably need a matching header at a minimum, and maybe even that won't work unless you have the right cylinders and heads... etc.

Anyone got an XBRR exhaust and header laying around? : )
