I'm an injuneer at Lockheed - that's why the question. I am re-doing the bike at the end of the season, if I have to have a custom set of wires built up, I'll probably stick with stock. The front wire was also not connected to the coil, and was arching to make the jump. After cleaning and reconnection my cold cough went away and it revs up a bit faster. I didn't notice any difference in performance from stock, but I haven't had any problems either. I wasn't having any problems with the stockers, but decided to change my wires out when I upgraded my plugs to NGK Iridiums @ 5000 miles.   Trojan Posted on Thursday, November 02, 2006 - 05:05 am:        We use Accel 300+ wires (listed for the X1). They are much longer than the stock wires (you can always shorten them) but work very well.
