I am considering converting my Lightning Long into a Firebolt/Lightning hybrid. Before I go through all the ordering process, please let me know what you guys think of this "mock-up".

I have also thought of just trading for a Firebolt, but I don't know what I want to do.

I guess I could leave well enough alone and just ride the hell out of my Lightning.

I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Looks nice. I believe some one was selling one in the classifieds not too long ago?
It's been done before. Do a search. Probably a ton of threads on it. Good luck.

I know it has been done, what I am after is if I should do it. Also, if it will look OK.

If you like the more aggressive riding position and looks....Go for it.

We can't tell you what will or won't make you happy;)

It is a functional change, and does change the overall character of the bike,
if that's what you wanted to know.

Also it is much easier to put the r fairing on the s than the
s front on the r.

There are parts lists for the conversion somewhere, possibly KV

Honda just copied the style for their 800cc MotoGP machine so why not?

A friend told me it would look better with the "cheese grater" still intact so I mocked these up to see.

What do you guys think now?

Yeah, I kinda want to do the same thing, but am having trouble locating the subframe and seat. Is this all that I will need to turn my firebolt into this monster above? Or is there more than just subframe?
