The Fan Failure thread was so fun, I thought I'd try another. There have been several folks who have had BAS failures. So far, I can only find them on Ulysses. I would like to see how many there are out there and if they are on any bikes other than Ulys. Please list with the following format: Year/Model Mileage of Failure Mine: 06 Ulysses 800 Miles Thanks guys. | ||

I did a slow speed tip over while in AZ 2 weeks ago. Now that I think of it the bike didn't die untill I hit the kill switch. I guess that mine doesn't work? Is the engine supposed to stop when the bike falls over? Is that the purpose of the BAS? Maybe mine has failed.  | ||

When I dropped mine it shut off no problem. Yours should have shut it down requiring the ignition switch to be turned off, then back on to start. 2006 Uly mfg Dec '05 failed first time 7600 miles then 6 more times(I could'nt prove it so they wouldn't fix it until I quoted from the BadWeb), replaced at 10,200 | ||

Maybe it depends on which side it falls on. Or perhaps it depends on which side of the equator your on.  | ||

'06 Ulyssess 5400 Miles Built 02/06 Bike died about 20-24 times before I finally got it in the shop. Even though I told the dealer to contact Buell tech about the BAS, it was still 2 full weeks to get my bike fixed. I now have 1800 trouble free miles with the new BAS. 03 XB9S/ 8200 Miles I had a failure with a code. Followed procedure sensor fault. RR sensor same concern ended up being the signal wire shorted to ground. On the undertail support bracket removed battery and repair circuit. OK now. If anyone needs a BAS for a 03 XB9S got brand new in package up for sale. | ||

It may have happened to me once. 06 Uly with 13,500 miles. The bike just cut off as I pulled up to a stop light. Wouldn't restart. I cycled the kill switch and then it would start. | ||

This has happened to me a few times and I thought I had bumped to kill switch or something. Today it did it on the way to work and I knew I didn't hit the kill switch. Now I know. Are there any ill effects in the long term if I don't get if fixed ASAP? PS: '06 Uly with about 3500 miles | ||

06 Uly 2200 miles Three times, twice on Highway running 70, cycled kill switch to get restarted. Have not brought to dealer yet. | ||

Larryboy has one that failed, but he would have to supply the details. It was a Uly, that I do know. | ||

Snub, It shouldn't cause any problems, but I wouldn't hang any hard core, cliff side turns until you get it fixed. The sudden deceleration could make for an ugly ending. | ||

Thanks FB. Sorry for the delay in the reply. I work 24hr shifts every three days and I don't have web access. The "in-between" days I'm at my part time job, with web access but it's often too busy to log on. | ||
