I am fairly new to this site and if I am asking a question that has already been covered could someone send me in the right direction. I have a 2003 Firebolt XB9R. Since I bought the bike brand new I have had issues seeing at night. Finally a couple weeks ago I was assured my problem would be fixed with PIAA H3 bulbs. A $100 later I still have the same issue. I have adjusted the lights per factory settings. Anyone out there have the fix? |

Check you reflectors (chromey bits in the front). The R reflectors are known to degrade over time. If the reflectors are bad, it won't matter what bulb you put in them they will need to be replaced. (Message edited by ft_bstrd on October 19, 2006) |

How does one determine that the reflectors are bad? What should I look for? |

Great point, thank you. I did notice that some of the reflective paint/coating was missing. I will give that a try. |

Open the housing up and clean it out good with soapy water. Let the it dry then paint the insides with Chrome paint and put it all back together and I promise it will work as new. No need to by a new one. |
