I bought my bike used and it came with a race pipe a race ecm and a PC3. I don't understand why there is a pc3 in the mix now and i'm thinking of getting rid of it. Shouldn't the Race ECM have been enough with those basic mods?

Or you can send it to North Florida and I could put it to good use.
I could even pick it up, I'll be in Daytona for the next few days.

If it were me I'd put the bike on a dyno and check the Air/Fuel Ratio. If it's installed there may just be a reason for it.

The race pipe has shown to be very effective at making good power with the correct map. The race ECM is *not* the best map.

As Glitch stated, you could put it on a dyno and see if the PCIII is doing its job. Or, you could ditch it and have the ECM remapped with Direct Link. Check out the testing performed by American Sport Bike on this subject.

By the way, do you have an open air-box?

Here I was posting and not reading who was asking the questions, sorry 'bout that Isham.
You need that PC3 very much, you have a very modded bike.
We are talking about your XB9R that's been punched out to 1200cc, right?

Yes. I've since changed the exhaust pipe and I'm kind of disappointed that PC3s don't have many maps. I wanted to try some other kind of engine management.

Direct Link is the way to go if you have someone that can tune it for you.
PC3 maps are a dime a dozen, only they're made for someone else's bike.
Get thee to a tuner!
You'll be amazed at what your bike can do once tuned correctly, even with the PC3.
