I've always liked the naked, grunty look of the Lightning, and I got even more excited when pics of the '07 XB12S in Cherry Bomb red appeared on the US web site. Personally I think its the slickest looking bike I've seen. So excited was I that a week ago I marched down to the local dealer, ready to lay down the hard-earned and become a first time Buell owner. Only to be told by the dealer that Buell were not going to be sending any 2007 Lighting XB12S' to Australia, only the longer XB12Ss (black or orange, take your pick). A couple of other dealers told me exactly the same thing, so now I'm pretty despondent. Whats going on? Every other Buell region in the world seems to sell the XB12S, and in the translucent red. Can anyone give some insight into why Aussies are missing out on this slick looking, great handling bike? And is there any chance of convincing Buell that they've made a mistake, or at least getting one shipped out with other Buells if I pre-order it? |
