I'm picking up a used XB9S tomorrow (fingers crossed, don't want to jinx it). During the test ride I had trouble getting my toes on the shift and brake levers. I was wondering about replacing these with levers that stuck out a bit further than the stockers. What are my options?

1. Get used to it
2. Trojan Horse has some billet levers that look like they stick out a bit further.
3. Modify the existing ones or fab my own

Are there any other aftermarket options out there? Are the stockers a solid piece or can I just screw\weld on a longer toe piece?

Thanks

It's not an adjustment issue?

Maybe they just need adjusted?
Crossroads makes some nice ones too.

List price is 149.95
My Badweb price is 134.95

Sorry, I don't have the bike or the manual yet, so I can't answer whether it's an adjustment issue. As far as adjustment goes, I need them to stick out further from the bike. Can they be adjusted this way, or just up and down?

Daves, is that for both levers?

Thanks guys

they only adjust up or down.
That appears to be for both levers according to their website

The Crossorads controls pictured above do have longer toe pegs than stock, so may suit your needs. They also have the added advantage of having bronze bushes rather than plastic and have a better action that the stock items : )

You can get used to it.
At first I had the same trouble.
I got used to it.
No problem now.

Buy an extra rubber knob for the shifter, they break off easily. (probably designed so as to protect the delicate transmission in a fall)

I have the crossroad and love them. It is a much firmer feel now and I have yet to have a false neutral. I never had a problem with the length of the toe pegs so I cannot comment on that. A picture of my bike with them installed is in my profile.

I had problems with the length of the original toe pegs (I have big feet). Switched to the crossroads, they are longer, a better "feel" in both finding the pegs and in shifting all together.

cheers.

Got the bike today.

Getting used to the stock ones already : ) : )

I'll probably upgrade the levers anyway. The stock shifter is kinda loose (side to side) and the rubber is wearing off and looks crappy.
