I was thinking of getting some bar end mirrors for the 12S, and was just wondering how the vibration was. are the mirrors functional, or just for looks? do they vibrate more than the stock ones? at some speeds I can't see with the stock ones. thanks in advance for the input.

I have CRGs, they work great. Once you get used to looking down at them.

If you are unsure of their usage, and don't have a money tree in the back yard (like me)... then go to a local bicycle shop and buy a pair of barend mirrors there (like i did).

They costed me like 7Euro a piece... are plastic... look good, costs less, are functional and easily replacable. Plus I'm not scared of something happening to the since I only spent less than 20E on 2 mirrors.

I believe this has been covered. I use Cat Eye bicycle bar end mirrors at like 8 or 9 dollars a piece you get to see if you like them for cheap and they actually work good too. Does anyone know if they weigh less than CRGs?

Swapping to an aluminum handlebar will dramatically reduce vibrations...I recently put on some Renethal CR Lows with the CRG Bar End Mirror - It doesn't vibrate at all.
Before that I had the 3rd Eyes on stock bars & they still vibrated some, but not as bad as the stock Lollipop Mirrors.

I just put the Napoleon bar end mirrors on my XB12R over a month ago. They work great...very adjustable (they pivot in for lane splitting/parking), very little vibration.

As a side benefit, if you put the right one in a little snug, you can get it to hold your throttle in place...makes long distance riding a little easier.

They were $32 each...
