I was scanning through the new press materials on the various sport bike magazine websites regarding the new '07 Japanese bikes. One thing I noticed about most of them was the use of an "all new under engine exhaust for better mass centralization!"  I can't help but chuckle. When was this debuted and by who? Someone please refresh my memory!! The '07 GSX-R 1000, ZX-6R, and the CBR600RR all use some type of under engine silencer or pre-silencer. The GSX-R 1000 even went to a twin silencer system. The Honda is my personal favorite. First they want the XBRR banned, then they're robbing design principles from it!  | ||

They're shifty, not stupid. It's all about the Benjamins, man. If you have a good idea that isn't worked into our R&D, I have to do my best to harpoon it until we can get it worked into development. I can't very well have your dollars going across the street, can I? | ||

The Honda NAS came out a couple of years ago (I assume that's the one you mean) It has the single side fork. It also has an under engine muffler (A molded stainless compound curved shape) The idea has been around for a while, but Buell has been the only one to implement it and capitalize on the benefits that are there. There are a lot of things that would be ahead of traction control on my wish list. | ||

No RC51 for 07. It's a shame that many riders do not recognize the benefits of a V-twin. |
