I live in Sturgis so the only place I can go to get my Buell serviced is Black Hills Harley Davidson in Rapid City, SD. This is what they are good at. SELLING. That's about it. I had them change my primary fluid and they must have laid the cover on the ground because it got scratched up. I needed to replace the 90 degree pressure reducer which is a $3.97 part. I was unaware that they charge $84.00/hr. to do half ass work. They replaced a chrome piece with a bronze colored piece that does not look good on the bike. It works, no more leaks, I'm happy that it doesn't leak. But for $84.00/hr. That thing should be spit shined. Needless to say I bought a service manual and I'm going to do everything, and I mean everything myself. It took them a entire week to put one piece on an oil line. WTF is all I have to say. Just venting but they just pissed me off.

Only $84 an hour? The dealer I take my bike to (when I take it) is over $100.00. I do most of my own work.

What's funny is at the same place I had them change my primary fluid, new gasket, re-torque the primary drive nut to proper specs, reset my TPS and reset my AFV to 100%. That was only $130.00. I thought that wasn't bad. Kind of confused on why it cost just as much for a simple part to be replaced. I know it didn't take an hour because I have taken it off myself with the wrong tools even! Also charged me $10.50 for a the tail light bulb. ???? I just know I'm not going back. They are on there way to get rid of the Buell line I think. They used to have a wall full of gear, luggage etc. which is gone. and now they only have 4 Buells left. I was checking a new firebolt out and I was looking it up and down and nobody even came to tell me about the bike or try to sell. As soon as I just glanced at a V-rod they swarmed me.

I wrote a little about this before. The HD dealer nearest me replaced the rear tire on my City X when I got a nail in it. They quoted me 152.00 for the tire over the phone. I called back to make sure they had the correct tire etc.

I get the bike back and the rear wheel is all gouged and scraped up. One section was like 10 inches long. They tried to hide it by brushing on black paint! I pointed it out to the parts counter guy ( service was closed ) before I left. They also charged me 175.00 for the tire! Total was like 250.00 I called them and they told me those tires are really hard to put on. They said they would replace - but at no time did anyone say they were sorry or whatever. I finally asked to speak to the Manager of the dealership after the Service guy told me that he couldn't do anything about the quote from parts on the tire. I said that in my view they are all one dealership and I don't care what department is what !

Keep in mind that I am totally reasonable and cordial in this whole thing I just want to tell someone why I am unhappy. I speak to the GM of the dealership. He says why didn't you take it to the dealer you bought it from? Are you kidding ?

Finally I get him to listen to my complaints and he says that he is glad that I let him know. I mentioned that NO ONE has offered me anything in the way of apology or we want your business. In repsonse to the inaccurate quote he says come see me when you get the tire changed and I will give you a coupon for 25.00 ( Big Deal - they have no Buell gear ).

So I go to the get the tire changed and the Service Manager is nice enough - apologized for the inconveniance -finally.

I go to look for the GM and he doesn't remember. He acts like I am totally wasting his time. He says hold on. I wait for awhile and go out and he is one his cell phone. I finally say - look I am gettin an inspection....you want to cover that? He says "Yeah -I'll do that" and he walks away.

F-U buddy. You don't want my friggin Business? I bought one bike, parts and a bunch Harley S^#$^ from you. Everyone I talk to I am going to tell about my experience. Harley sells so much ( at least now ) they don't value you their customers. Arrogance.

I will never go back their unless it is to MY advantage for a part or some other thing. ( The parts guys are pretty good and most of the employees are very nice.

Why don't I name the dealer? I am nice and will eventually.

I forgot -

They also overinflated BOTH tires to over 40lbs. They are Scorpions. At least I noticed right away.

Let someone else work on YOUR bike...EXPECT someone else to SCREW it up!

Get the manual and tell them......

The day that BUELL starts their OWN dealership will be the day that I ever let a dealer touch my bike. The majority of harley dealers suck when it comes to buell.

Geez!!! $10.50 for a tail light bulb??? I just bought one at my local HD/Buell dealer for $2.97. I thought that was fair.

"Let someone else work on YOUR bike...EXPECT someone else to SCREW it up! "

Not everyone has the room or tools to do everything.....including changing tires. In a perfect world.
Still no reason for these arrogant SOBS to not know how to run a business.

Just goes to show you that it really doesn't matter if it's a Harley or a Buell. I would never purchase a Harley after reading, seeing and have been treated like crap sometimes at these places. This has turned me off towards Harleys in general they way the treat the Buellers. Just my two cents......
