What is the difference? I thought what we had are rear sets. Are these ones just adjustable by like an inch or so? i'm confused..... |

They ARE available but I think worthless unless you're going for the "bling" factor. If you're dragging the stock pegs, you're WAY beyond most club-level racers. Most aftermarket rearsets cost some pretty big bucks for the XB. Better off spending the bucks on suspension and track days. Dixon wins or finishes on the podium on my XB every time he takes it out at Willow Springs. He is barely touching the pegs once in a while. He's the points leader in his class this year. He's not complaining about needing more room for his toes. |

You do have rear sets, they just arn't too far rear (or high). Aftermarket rear sets put your feet farther back and up to put you in a jockey like position. This redistributes your weight forward and gets you into a more manuverable position on the bike. Not all aftermarket rear sets are adjustable. Sportsters and Super Glides have mid controls. Those are located right below the transmission. They give you a sitting-at-the-kitchen-table kind of position. Other harleys have forward controls; controls mounted ahead of the engine. Some mid control bikes also have "highway" pegs that are mounted where forward controls would be. |

I'm very familiar with all the Harley footpeg locations. I work at a harley shop (not jumping down your throat, i understand you didn't know). i was just curious how come they cost so dang much. i'm fine with where my feet are now, and don't come close to touching the pegs. thanks for the inputs....Brad |

The cost comes from the fact that they are machined from billet aluminum, and that most do not fit more then one application. This drives production costs way up, and the price you pay is just a matter of making a descent margin or else companies wouldn't bother. |
