i am having the same problem and dont know what to do . i found this in the knowledge vault and no one has the solution .http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/3842/208983.html?1154983075

. the dealer kind of fixed it but 3 hours of riding later it did the same thing again . now they claim it was a bad voltage regulator again! i am at a loss and dont know what to do . A bad regulator two time in a row and one brand new from a box? come on i just want to ride the bike . any ideas?

Check the AC voltage output from the Stator witht he bike running. I think it should be 32 - 40 volts on all 3 pins.

I went round and round with my dealer about this. Actually I'm glad it's almost out of warranty. But here is likely your problem if the other charging system components check ok.
It's the connector behind the front sprocket cover from the stator to the regulator. I believe it has a red and black wire. CHECK THAT CONNECTION!
Also make sure your ground to the chassis is tight and of course the battery connections.

the bike is at the dealership right now and i dont want to drive the 80 miles to check it . i will however tell them to check the connector . Is that what was wrong with your bike ? and the ground was good when i got it back , the dealership cleaned all the connections and re torqued the bolts as required .
