I've been lurking on this board for a number of weeks and recently bought an '06 XB12Ss after a 12 year hiatus from motorcycling. All of my previous bikes have been (ahem) Hondas, so the Buell has taken some getting used to (I appreciate all of the folks who have posted concerning engine noise!), but I'm lovin it so far. Thanks to all who have posted on the board. The bike was a demo with about 300 miles on it (I was a little bit squeamish about that), but the dealer offered a hefty discount. Plenty of roads here where the handling of the bike really shines. It felt like the bike was telling me to keep going just a little further. I ended up going about 180 miles. So much for just ducking out for a quick ride.... BTW - it looks like you're just down the road from me. We'll have to connect for a ride sometime. Ulywife - thanks for the link. I'll jump over there and take a look. It's one of the reasons I bought a 2006, rather than order a 2007.
