During a break today, invite him out behind the dumpster for a smoke, chat, drink, sex (those UNAMERICAN type guys are most likely gay) ect. Them give him a beatin'! And when you're done.................. give him an extra one for Erik. Nah, since this isn't politically correct, give him the extra one from me. Thanks |

Benjamin, He works for somebody, tell them about his unprofessional conduct. If you want to be a service tech you have to be able to interface with the customers (all! of them) in a polite professional manner. One of the younger salesmen at the local HoKaSuYa dealer (a *big* dealer, several franchises in the DownEast Maine area) went off on Buells and H-D with me for no reason. I simply walked away and found the owner of the franchise. I told him what had happened and informed him that no one in my family would ever buy anything there again (we have purchased three ATV's and one motorcycle there in the last 5 years). Jack |

You don't mean F to F do you? Say it isn't so. I was told to get a real motorcycle when I spoke Buell there. I just considered the source.

Im 20 years old but i know one thing. people respond to facts. i know it sucks hearing people bash your machine and i doubt you do that to the japanese bikes. it likens to hearing the zombies in college go bush bashing without ever having read into 90 percent of the problems they blame him for. my advice read into the facts so when idiots start barkin stupid nonsense you can simply say, why? and proceed to put them in their place. |

Ignorant/stupid poeple do not respond to facts (or they wouldn't be so stupid). Being a tattle tail/stoolie is so pre school. Best results come from a good old fashioned beatin'. |

Remind your instructor that you are there to learn motorcycles and not his opinions on what his dislikes or likes are. If he is the kind of guy I think he is, it will probably cost you a grade or two. As someone else mentioned go to the administration voice your concerns. Can't hurt. and then request a Asian instructor so you can be assured quality instruction! Someone that ignorant probably wouldn't even understand that sort of statement. Still very funny though. |

Wait a minute here. An institution of higher learning? Statements bashing US products (or institutions, or people or way of life?) That's not exactly a first. When going to college, remember WE ARE THE BAD GUYS. Accept that. Once you accept that simple thought, it makes getting good grades much easier on essays for history, english literature, poetry, philosophy, sociology, psychology - MUCH EASIER. Remember, most professors have been institutionalized their entire life. They were raised by public servants (elementary and middle and high school) - further indoctrinated (college) and now are suckling on the Public Teat. They haven't been outside much except among a small, select group of friends. Public Education represents a small intellectual gene pool. Intellectual inbreeding does produce some idiots. hey Blake, the school is sac city community college and the class is motorcycle 100. what gets me mad is on the first day he told us to respect each brand of motorcycle but i guess he was excluding anything american made. Yes he is the type of teacher to give u a lower grade if u argue with him. also he said you'll never see an harley with over 100rwhp and i told him i've seen them all the time at my old work but he didnt believe a word i said. |

Sandy, It was "F to F" as you say. I happen to know the original "F" guy on sight and in passing and also happened to know that he was in the store so I took the trouble to try to jam that kid up. I don't consider it snitching though. I'm too old to engage in fisticuffs and too smart to engage in stupid arguments with opinionated youngsters. But I'll go out of my way to help in introducing them to the real world. Things like, what can happen when you run your mouth and it comes back and haunts you. I don't know that anyone straightened him out on it but I'd be glad to take the credit for setting it up. In my franchise, the kid would have been out of work for talking to a customer like that. Dr Deming (an American) taught the Japanese everything they know about Statistical Quality Control. Does that mean that Japanese products aren't really reliable? Your teacher sounds like a "Tool" Side Note: here is some very good info on Dr. Deming and how his work influenced manufacturing in japan and helped that country rise to be a leading economic power. http://www.skymark.com/resources/leaders/deming.asp The teachings of Dr. Deming affected a quality revolution of gargantuan significance on American manufacturers and consumers. Through his ideas, product quality improved and, thus, popular satisfaction. His influential work in Japan--instructing top executives and engineers in quality management--was a driving force behind that nation's economic rise. Dr. Deming contributed directly to Japan's phenomenal export-led growth and its current technological leadership in automobiles, shipbuilding and electronics. The Union of Japanese Science and Engineering (JUSE) saluted its teacher with the institution of the annual Deming Prize for significant achievement in product quality and dependability. In 1960, the Emperor of Japan bestowed on Dr. Deming the Second Order Medal of the Sacred Treasure. |

As a high school Industrial Tech instructor, hopefully one of the few teachers that won't get bashed here, just go to his superior as stated above. If I made statements similair in nature I would have to explain myself to my boss and my students aren't paying tuition like you are. Fortunately, my students have gotten the truth about Buells and think it's cool that I ride a sport bike, period. When influencing young minds, speak the truth, brother! |

This teacher is actually very cleaver. He is Pi..ing everybody off in class by negativity about the American market en the things that all good Americans stand for, he brings patriotism back to all in the class which is now standing shoulder to shoulder against the negativity portray by him. Everybody is hyped up and ready to attack with will and knowledge about the subject in discussion, your so hyped, you actually don't wanna miss a class just to have ago at him and proof your knowledge on the subject, and all he is doing and forcing everyone without threating them with low marks and scorses to participate by self study and research . No its seems to me he is very good teacher and whats to see all students doing well. Just keep this in mind by mid term, students that didn't participate in these scenarios, might just be ending up to be your average students or drop outs. Don't loose faith this will be your best year. you all are fired up..... |

Ptown, being the son of an educator, I must take exception with your theory on teaching. Do you also portend that Ward Churchill was merely trying to induce a patriotic fervor among his pupils by calling the victims of 9-11 "little Eichmanns"? Spewing negative and ignorant ideologies in a classroom environment is counterproductive. My sons have both been subjected to the liberal idiocy of so-called American History teachers in their high school for the last few years. My oldest, recently graduated, estimates that he spent a total of about two weeks out of four years studying World War II. By comparison, he remembers spending SEVERAL MONTHS OF EACH YEAR bouncing theories around with "ex"-hippies (the teachers) about why we were in Vietnam and why the USA is a global oppressor. All teachers should know their proper place and position with regard to impressionable young minds, spend less time indoctrinating and more time telling the truth by way of illuminating the historical record. Too many are guilty of using the lectern as a pulpit. 'nuff said. |

This teacher is actually very cleaver. This teacher isn't cleaver, his job is to teach motorcycle mechanics. Theory and applications of the trade, not to give unfounded, unwarranted, and unsolicited opinions of his likes or dislikes. The folks taking the class want to learn how and why things work. Diagnose problems and find solutions All teachers should know their proper place and position with regard to impressionable young minds, spend less time indoctrinating and more time telling the truth by way of illuminating the historical record. Too many are guilty of using the lectern as a pulpit. Well said. |
