The frames are made of aluminum in Italy by Verlichi, who also make frames for Ducati and other makes.

The exact aluminum alloy is proprietary and specified in the contract with the supplier.

Aluminum is kind of a catch-all term these days with all the different alloys that are in use.
The properties of these alloys can vary widely in their physical properties.

Cost would be pretty high if it were magnesium.
