When I bought my Sportster, it came with an alarm module that cut the ignition when it was armed, why doesn't Buell offer something like this. What type of anti-theft devices do you guys use?

I use a disc lock with a built in battery powered alarm. It's quite loud.

I never leave it out of my eyesight unless it's indoors.

Nobody wants to steal Buell's!

But my bike is rarely out of sight.

oh yeah? Mine just got swiped Aug 5, 06 in daylight, parked by a highway while I went trying to find a towtruck to pick it up. Had to park due to an accident that left it immobilized.

I have a disc lock and a lever lock for when it's not in my garage or out of my line of sight.

Me too. Mostly for the "don't sit on me" factor.

1. NRA sticker
2. A sign or sticker that says "I don't dial 911".

Makes them think twice before they rob you!

Scorpio SI500. has proximity alarm, ignition interlock, remote off ( antihijack), and 2 way paging remotes. expensive, but pretty darn good. use the '1st gen' harley wiring kit, and it just plugs in. ( *** I think it was the 1st gen kit - double check with the manufacturer if you go this route)

I am thinking of getting the Si-300, with all of the accessories. I'm to cheap to pay almost 500 for an alarm.

Especially when the only REAL difference is the 2-way fm capability of the remote.
