I'm looking for a tank bag and right now I'm between the Buell Deluxe or Cortech 21 liter bag. Not sure how well the Cortech fits though. Any thoughts or suggestions welcome?

I have the Buell bag (the most current one in 2005...with the stiff sides, no side pockets, etc). It isn't the best made (I had to stitch mine back together at one point), but the fit is excellent, and the rubber on the underside is very thick--not a scratch so far!

I did modify the front mounting points to eliminate the fastex buckles which remain on the bike when the bag's removed, so they don't flap around when riding without the tankbag.

I have a Wolfman tank bag, works great. What I did was go to the local bike store and looked at a bunch of different tankbags and pick out the one that I liked for the price. I went online and bought it. I forget what model of Wolfman I have but I can find out for you.

Jim would appreciate it. My main concern is finding a strap on that fits well and comes on/off easily.

I have the Cortech Tri-bag and really like it. It's consists of three possible sizes for bags that can be carried seperately or stacked on top of each other.

Trying to ride with the bags full of stuff and stacked up is tough but I rarely(if ever) do that.

It's nice having options, sizewise...90% of the time I'm only carrying small things and I hardly even know the small bag is there. The picture below shows a magnetic mount but I have (obviously) the strap mount version. The straps are easy to get on and hold things in place well. The bra must be removed for gas, but that involves unclipping one clip...very easy.

When i first ordered the tri-bag, I got it online and actually ordered the 21-liter bag by accident. When it arrived, I realized it wouldn't work (for me). Since it has such rigid sides, you cannot squash the bag down at all, even if you're not carrying much.

tri-bag magnetic mount (you want a strap-mount)

EDIT** - if I remember correctly from seeing the 21-liter, it and the tri-bag mount in the same way...straps hold the bra in place and the bag then zips to the bra. The bra is very secure once you have the straps on and tight, likewise for the zippers holding the bag down. The underside of the bra is very soft/well-cushioned - I've never had a worry about it damaging the bike in any way
