Hey guys, well I've been juggling the idea of buying a micron for my 9R...but I came across a deal on a Ti-force system...what do you guys think? after its all said and done the ti-force would probably be cheaper( by a few bucks ) but i wouldn't be able to use my lower cowl. And i'm not sure of the performance on the Ti-force...cant find a dyno, and it wasn't in the shootout....I realy wan't low-mid torque.....does the micron give you more? plus one pro for the micron is that i can get my ecu remapped for it....don't know about the Ti-force....please sway me..one way or the other....I need help....Iknow this is some what of a repeat thread.. thanks fellas

You will love either one of those exhaust systems. Al at American Sport Bike should be able to dial you in for both. I'm partial to the Ti-Force myself, my neighbor has one and it's awesome looking and sounding.

You can put the lower cowl with the Ti-force !
I have it on my bike

I'd go with the Micron. Ti-Force performance doesn't compare.

BLAKE....WHERE DID YOU GET THE INFORMATION ON THE TWO EXHAUSTS?

I have also been tossed between the two exhausts but have not found much info on the Ti-force, so i can not compare the two. Do you have any of these exhausts or have you tried them both?

Not being argumentive(sp?) just curious how you have come to this conclusion. the micron is a better QUALITY exhaust, the Ti-Force has nicer welds and looks better on the bikes. also i wounder how the "X" cross pipe does on a dyno run..Thanks bud!

There is a dyno plot of a TiForce equipped bike here somewhere. I'm going from memory, but I'm pretty darn certain of it. The Micron is very tough to beat. If you do some looking around here for the TiForce dyno, you may find it. To bad folks don't post dyno charts to the proper KV topic. Then again, maybe it is there. : )

At the Canadian Thunder racers this past weekend all the races were using the Micron,
LAst year they were all using the BEson.. I asked how they like them and they didn`t ,like the Beson way more, only reason they use em was cause of the noise restriction on them now ,The Beson being alot ,alot louder.
One guy that use to use the Buell race pipe dyno the race and the Micron and all his machine only saw 3/4 of a horsepower more with the micron.
Don`t flame me now just repeating what they said...LoL
Goes to show the noise restriction they have now.. I have the Full Beson as well and it still is not as loud as my Force can,its kind of quiet until ya get on it and then it roars..

Please consider that XB racers want max performance from 5K RPM up. I'd never use that spec for my own personal street bike. I want good low end and low-mid range performance more than peak top end.

If you remember, the dyno run on the tiforce was from way back before there was any tuning possible on an XB. That said ill be glad to race anyone up ortega on a Micron XB. Brian

Ive been looking for more information on the Ti-Force too.

Seems like finding a dyno chart is near impossible

but finding pissing contents between the maker and other people is pretty easy.

The thing is, everyone who actually has a ti-force really likes it.

Blake,
You're probably thinking about http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/17143/162217.html?1148420916

It was on an XB9, it was a valid comparison of similarly equipped XB9s done on the same dyno that were tuned with DirectLink. But, different days, different bikes, so compare curve shapes, not absolute values.

As the exhaust shootout showed, it is not necessarily a valid thing to look at these XB9 curves and extrapolate that to the XB12.

My biggest issue with the Ti-Force is that the can is a bit fragile, you can't buy just a replacement can, you have to buy the whole system, and it is very expensive. Terry's race team blew a couple cans up, literally. Looked like someone put a couple M80s in them. So if I had one, I'd definitely keep it well packed.

Would have been nice to have had one at the shootout. Though with the time constraints we had, it would have broken us. We barely got done as it was, and that being a full header system would have been tough to fit in.

Al

I've not seen any dyno info on the Ti-Force but having ridden Mcgiver's bike and comparing it to my own factory race can, I can second the emotion.

Al, those are valid points to be certain. But just look at it! You gotta admit it's a thing of beauty. Jardine's need to be packed too, and I don't hear any complaints about that. Then again they are a fraction of the cost.

I have no dyno about my Ti-force bur I am very happy with it.
I have it for 8000Km and still look good not so fragile for my own.
With the race after 1500 km I had some rust on it. So, the Ti-force is far much better than the buell race

I have a tiforce and techlusion box on an XB9R with drilled airbox and found that removing the can packing, replacing the drilled can tubes with solid tubes cold swaged to fit the end caps allowed me to add 2 clicks more fuel at pot 4 and 1 more at pot two. Never dynoed it but now it feels like a different bike, difficult to keep the front down in 1st. Very loud but keeps cars out of the way much better! If you get a tiforce, I recommend trying this mod.
