I have to pull the rear sprocket of the wheel in order for cyclegear to mount and balance my new rear tire. none of this would have happened if I hadnt ran over a nail when I was PARKING!! ADAM | ||

Hey man,,,I'm not sure of the torx size but Cycle gear has always mounted my tires with the sprocket in tact. | ||

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you want your sprocket on the wheel for balancing. You don't pull the rotor off, so why would you pull off the sprocket? | ||

beats the hell outta me, I didnt think about that. Good observation, I think I will bring the tire back in and see what they say. the guy I normally see wasnt there. thanks, ADAM | ||

yes, its a T45 so I went down to OSH today to buy the tip. I brought the tire with pulley on, ratchet and T45 tip to cyclegear. They did confirm it needs to be off to balance the tire. your guess is as good as mine, they said it will be fine. So, I began to use my new bit to remove the torx screws from the pulley. The bit bent because the factory over did it with the thread lock. To my luck and surprise a HD Dealer was just around the block. Its so small and remote that there was no one in their but four employees. Anyway the service guy pulled the screws out in less than 30 seconds and I was on my way. So, will this finally be the end of my pain in the arse situation? Guess Ill see sunday after I get the tire back and put the bike all back together. ADAM | ||

That pully should be on there. Tell cyclegear to flip the wheel over with the brake rotor side down on the tire machine. Then it will fit just fine. | ||

yeah, you should have everything that will be attached to the wheel, on the wheel for a balence! |
