I don't think that there is a plan to market it en mass...YET.
I could go for one myself in white/orange/blue.
(without the playstation stuff on it, unless they want to pay for the endorsement  ) |

The helmet looks even better in real life. I think that Buell accessories needs to have it in production. With the different color combos they can make to match everyone's ride, it has serious potential.

Thats a badass story, Im actually proud to see that someone on the Badweb won the contest. Thanks for sharing your experience with us, and taking the time to post lots of pics. Too good of a story. congrats man. Im happy to see someone else is happy.

Thanks for all the kind words and comments. It's been a major thrill and it sure is great to share it with everybody here who is as passionate about their Buell's and I am.
To answer some questions:
"Anyone know when/where it will be available?"
At this point no plans for production by Buell.
"how do you like the power + ride of the 12R compared to your 9S?"
Much more comfy then I thought it would be but need more time and miles to give a good opinion. Plus the bike needs broke in before I can really tell anything about performance.
Is your 9 going to collect dust now?
No! I love my 9S and plan to ride it. Not in any hurry to get rid of it yet and would love to turn it into a Lightningbolt. Maybe sell it next spring, or the new one...depends which one I like more. |

Pay close attention to Judy. Anyone in the south central PA area knows that she is the person to go to for Buell knowledge/work. She also is real good on the older tube frame bikes. OOOPPPSSS, that is for a different thread, sorry.

As competitions go I thought the idea behind it was super great.
No silly slogans. No multi choice questions. Just a very simple and related task with a wonderful set of prizes.
I think they should run it every year!
