Most recent conversions - Front and rear wave rotors, chain conversion, Special OPS muffler, powder coated rims and swing arm, extended carbon huger and front sprocket cover. I have a ceramic coated header and powder coated rear brake caliper to pick up from the shop.

This winter I'll start working on installing the fiberglass body kit and if I have time, polish out the frame.

How do you like those wave rotors?

I do notice a difference in braking up front. Hard to describe the difference, but it seems like there is more grab.

The weirdest thing though is the bike handles completely different. Not sure if it's the rubber, the rotor, etc. I completely swapped out the front rim. I purchased a different rim, powder coated it, installed new bearings and the wave rotor. It's hard to describe the difference. To some extent, it feels heavier. Not in a bad way.

Who's fender are you using up front? It looks bigger, very nice.

It was one of those carbon fenders being sold on ebay.

How did you strip your wheels?

What did you use, how long did it take?

There is no finish on the standard aluminum wheels.

Now, the front rim I used was a used one that I picked up that had been painted black, but I just took some spray on paint stripper too it and it came off pretty easily. The shop that did the coating then media blasted it with walnut shells.

Now the swing arm, well, multiple applications of paint stripper on that.

Are you still using stock brake pads with the wave rotors?

I might have to try to trade someone my amber wheels for the aluminum.

Next time you go to strip powder coat, try a product called airplane stripper. You wont need multiple applications.

Actually, that is what I used to strip. The issue is that paint builds up thicker in corners, etc. I have tried lots of different strippers and when it comes to stripping powder coat, there is no way you can get away with getting the entire thing stripped with one application of stripper.

If you are looking for XB9r headers black powder coated, I might have some for sale soon. I also have a race muffler black powder coated, both have not been reinstalled since I got them coated a month ago.
