has anybody out there swapped their xb12r upper clamp for the xb12s model. im looking for a more upright position. ive got the clamp & bars. probably need to get the cables as well. any help would be great.

Save time and money and try a set of heli bars, before you go and change the whole thing.

not sure yet maybe-maybe not. nothing a cut-off wheel cant solve. i dont think they will but ill find out soon enough.

Well... My bars just about hit my fairing and I have stock bars. When I wear gloves with knuckles the knuckles "JUST" hit the fairing. I'd think moving them up and back would certainly cause a bar/fairing collision... Maybe not though, I have an S and an R in my driveway and it seems the they do get moved back a ways too...

Can't hurt to try I suppose and yeah, dremmels rock : ).

I have the lsl superbike bars on my r. I really like them, they give me the freedom to pick from from bars with different sweeps etc

its kinda funny - the stock buell parts are pretty cheap so the switch is cheap - just dont know what else is involved other than the ignition, cables, clamps & bars

I would be willing to trade foot pegs also if any one was looking for an inch lower ride on their R.
