I've been out of town for a few days and when I got home last night, it seemed like Christmas in July! I had 4 boxes of XB stuff in my doorway. I got header wrap, an open airbox kit, traction grips, a buell custom seat and a drummer catch can. Thanks for the fast service, guys. I could only install the seat, grips and catch can last night. It took about 2 hours and a couple of beers. I have a few comments about the items installed that may help others. Buell Custom Seat - It was a little tough to install the rear bolts due to the stiffer seat material. The seat feels great, although I only put about 10 miles on. It is a little taller than stock so, in addition to being easier on the rearend, it stretched my legs out a bit too. Enough to make me check my rear brake pedal the first time I tried it. My foot is now in a better position to use the rear brake as a safety precaution during wheelies. Even though the seat is taller, it didn't seem to feel any different when I put my feet on the ground( even with the stock seat, I cannot put my feet flat on the ground). Catch Can - Very easy to install, good fit, finish. The only problem that I ran into was the breather that screws into the back of the catch can fits very close to the oil cooler bracket. I found that if I put a little extra teflon tape on the threads, it doesn't screw in as far and avoids this problem. There are a couple other options for mounting this part that appear to aleviate this problem. Thanks again guys. Gregg | ||

new guy...if your rear brake is ever a problem, it can be adjusted, lower or higher to suit your needs...I wear big boots and had my brake pedal lowered and it's just perfect...a little screw adjustment is all it takes! | ||
