The Metzler Sportec tires had to be replaced because of a nail. My XB9S was at the Buell dealer, all they had was the Dunlops that I took off after 500 miles. They only sell tires that come on their bikes. I hated the Dunlops so I asked them to order the Pirelli tires that come on the City X. Two days on them. I love them. What a difference in handling. They're easier steering and much more precise in placing the bike where I want it on the road. Good grip in the corners. I would recommend them to anyone. |

I agree! They handle great around town and have never let me down in the twisties. Great traction on rough surfaces and in the rain. |

Got em ! After I rode my better halfs City X with the Pirelli Scorpion Syncs I was hooked. So much more confidence inspiring, love em, can't wait to try them in the rain (hmmmmmmmmmmm, or not). |

I also ride a City-X and it is time for new tires but I cannot decide if I want Pilot Roads, Conti Road Attacks or another set of the Scorpions. I have found comparisions/reviews of the Road Attack vs the Pilot Road but have not found anything comparing either to the Scorpions. I have no complaints about my tires but if I can add mileage without sacrificing grip Any ideas, info or links? BTW I just managed to get 8K out of my rear tire. Later, Bart |

Ditto the Scorps. If mine make it through 'til winter I'll get another set to install in the off season; I'm also due for the 10k service which I'll put off until then. They were a big change from the stock Dunlops. Bill |

I replaced my orinanal dunlop with a another dunlop before I found this board. my next two were race take offs from a friend. The dunlops last about 2500 miles. I have had scoprin snyecs about 2500 miles they look like new even after a trip to deals gap!! They are great!! |

I won't risk putting any other tire on my bike, unless I get to ride a Buell with that tire on it. I don't care about mileage or claimed racetrack performance, the handling of these tires is what I was missing with the other tires. I have ridden motorcycles for 45 years, the Buell with the other tires was the most work to ride of any of the multitude of bikes I have owned and ridden through the years. |
