Just wanted to let people know that own a Corbin seat and purchased one in the past where the seat mounting bracket rubbed the positive battery cable-the fix is here! I got a call from Patrick at Corbin and said that the designers just made a retro fit bracket for the old seat pans and that the new mounting bracket will not rub the battery cable. I own an 04 xb12r with the Corbin seat. If you recently bought a Corbin no worries it's a new pan design w/new mounting bracket. If you own an older one from about a year and a half ago chances are that mounting bracket is rubbing the positive battery cable. Check it out now so it doesn't fry your electronics. Contact Patrick at Corbin seat for the retro fit bracket. Just a bit of info....

My corbin is tearing into my batt cable too!

Do you have a number? How much is the new pan?

If you bought your seat from American Sport Bike, Al sent out an email a little while ago saying
when the retro-fit brackets become available he will be shipping them out to his
customers.

Service after the sale is a VERY good thing! ;)

I just got my seat back with the retrofit brackets right before I left for Laguna Seca. Haven't had a chance to test fit it yet while I've been getting caught up, but should get to it this week. If all goes well, I'll get Corbin to send the brackets out to all of my customers.

Call corbin seats in Calif. Ask for Patrick he has them already. There is no updated pan to purchase, the brackets will fit to the old pan style. You just need the brackets.

I've fit checked the new bracket and it seems to work. I have several of the brackets here, I just need to figure out who bought them pre- new design to contact for the getting the brackets to them. If you got it from me and you have the old design with the rod that goes from one side to the other, contact me and we'll get you off a new set of brackets.
