There's a pretty nice write up about the new Lightning on Motorcycle Daily. I think the writer liked it.

Wasn't too bad. I don't care for the comment about why someone would buy a 9 instead of a 12 without actually riding one. I also got a kick out of his description of the "centrally mounted camshaft", considering the engine has four of them. Overall it was worth reading.

Seeemed a good evaluation.
It was nice to see no "handling quirks" mentioned. Thanks to the change of tires Buell should have nothing but glowing evaluations from the testers in the handling department.

Sure, the XB12S would be even better with another 15 or 20 horsepower, but honestly, the lack of top-end power doesn't do much to detract from the fun of the ride, particularly if you're like me and prefer railing corners over hauling ass on the straights.

God help us if they are talking about any seat pre-07 MY.

"The seat is excellent as well - I loved the hump that kept me from sliding back too far! Buell engineers claim to have designed the XB's seats with some kind of advanced computer modeling/simulation program, and it seems to have worked."

Wow that was a great positive writeup.
I like how they summarize immediately using the phrase
"Pretty Darn well"
and then detail everything. This captures the reader and prompts them to read on.
The other thing that cracked me up was the comment on gas prices
"this most precious (and expensive) of liquids"
HAHAHA
that article, if I didnt own a buell, would make me want to test ride one.
