Anyone going to take the dremmel out do this mod on their airbox. It looks pretty straight forward. I wonder if It'll gain anything on the top end with better air flow? BTW, I'd be doing this on a Ulysses.

I don't think it'll add any perceptible gains.

If you do cut it you might as well really cut it, unless you do not want the intake noise.
If that's the case I wouldn't cut it at all.

I agree, I took my airbox out and gained a little more pep, but it didn't help as much as the stickers on my undertail

I've been thinking of doing this on my '06 for some time now.
Mainly for cosmetic reasons, under the Translucid cover.
Show off a bit more of the 'insides'.

The F.A.S.T. system looks really good under a translucid cover.

i have a FAST system with a jardine muffler and direct link. was using a map from AL at American Sport Bike (map was for a American Sport Bike air filter kit and jardine).Went and got a couple hours of Dyno time today and the bike made 94.3 HP @ 6808rpm's + 84FTLB @ 4074rpm's..and the fuel curve was pretty FAT. After 2 hours on the dynostar it was at 98.4hp @ 6652 and torque was 86ftlb. @ 3796. there is still a few hours of dyno time needed.the fuel curve is better but not great, but at least i have a starting point.

i will post the dyno runs later tomorrow when i get them off the floppy. don't have a floppy drive on my computer at home.
