I just got it in the mail, so I haven't read it yet, but it is a project article. They say they are trying to remove some of the handling "quirks" through aftermarket making the bike "easier and more fun to ride". Seems odd to me because I have a freakin' ball every time I throw a leg over mine!!

They complain about control placement (rear sets and clip-ons) They did some after market stuff like heli bars. They also put on a ti-force pipe.

If they put many hard miles on it that Ti-force will probably break on them.

Handling "quirks" = original Dunlop tires

Buell just took care of that themselves: )

Pirelli's on all of the XB models, unless you choose dunlops for the Uly.

Next....

According to them they didnt like the stock bars n replaced em with HELI triples.
The race can was too loud n replaced it with a TI-force(???).
The pegs were too close n they replaced em with some sato rear sets wich apparently vibrate more than stock.

They are idiots, I mean journalists.

More than likely still trying to ride it like a jap bike.

They ride the new repli-racers and they think the Firebolt's bars are too low and
the pegs too high? (that's odd)

replacing the race can with a ti-force because the race can is too loud is like
dropping ice cubes in your coffee because it's too cold. (What are they smoking?)

Solid mount pegs will do that! (have they completely lost their minds?)

This is all common sense stuff here, what exactly is the stated goal of these changes?
other than to take every opportunity to spin the thing anti-Buell?

It sounds like they were unfocused and laid it off on the Buell.

I can't wait to read this thing now. I may have to write my first letter to the editor

They'll probably pawn off anything they have on hand to ya.
If they have alot of dunlops layin around n I'm SURE they do.(aint that stock on all hd?)
I wouldn't expect em to order em for ya but u never know.

Sounds like that magazine decided to pull some ad revenue via the accessory route.

Take a bike they see as problematic, put a bunch of sponsored aftermarket parts. Declare the problem fixed all because of the new goodies.

Large ad check in the mailbox...

Remember they couldn't bash on Honda/yamaha/suzuki, too much $ at stake.
