Just got home from work again... you guys have posted some really bad@$$ looking bikes... Im starting to see all the different looks you can get with Buells... Im liking them more & more... It looks like getting a firebolt & then adding forks, rear shock & kickstand from a low is the way to go....

Buellgirlie, thanks for saying what you did about the low suspension set-up. now I feel like it will be safe for her to do an occasional track day ( I doubt she would ride THAT aggressively. And if she ever gets to that point then she will have become comfortable enough that height will no longer be an issue)...

Angelwild, you are right, it is very confusing with all the different models... But Im digging the learning experience.

Midknyte, Metalstorm, Ayden & Qball, thanks for learnin' me on the swapping of parts... Sounds to me like I need to talk to DaveS & ask about swapping a low suspension into a firebolt... It will be awhile before we get the bike to do this, but I wanted to know if it was doable... You guys have helped alot : )

Now Im gonna go lurk on the board & soak up some Buell Knowledge. ;)

Ok, I sent a PM to Daves... Will I get some type of notice when I get an email back from a member???

I looked at my profile & I looked for a place that will notify me when I have a PM but couldnt find anything.... Im guessing that next time I log in and I have a private message, it will tell me somewhere... Right?

No, private messages are actually sent to the member's e-mail address.

So keep checking your e-mail, when Daves responds you'll see it there not here on BadWeb.

Hey Mikey Fingaz!! Just a heads up, there is a XB9SL for sale on ebay. From what I've read it's exactly what you're looking for for the wifey. The exact post is as follows: Buell: Lightning 2003 XB9S pristine care and condition. Hope it helps....
