There are no custom seats for a 12ss. I guess I am going to have to do it myself. I have a guy that does bike seats and I even trust him so.............Any clue where to start? I would like a something a little nicer or stylish.....

I would like to not tear up the stock seat to do it but make a second seat I can make shorter like some of the stuff I have seen on the trojan site.

With the stock seat still available wifey can still right in the amount of time it takes me to change back to the stock seat.

Jerry, wait a week or so. The new line of stuff will be released and they MIGHT put out something for you model. Even if you don't want to buy a new one, someone will be selling their stock one, which will make a nice project base for you. It's what I done. But after finding a CityX seat that worked for what I was after(more comfort for the wife), I sold the pan.

Sargent will do any seat custom. You just have to send it to them. If I were you I would buy an extra and ship it off. Tell them exactly what you are looking for. I recommend using the grip-tex material. Great stuff.

Isnt it much harder to move from side to side in transistioning corners with the grip-tex material. I will admit my XB9SL has no padding but i think the cover material is perfect for the twisties. Then again it is the only seat other than a Blast Low (which I hate for the record) I have ever ridden.
