I saw a used race ecu for a XB9r on ebay, is it possible to remap a 9 to a 12? That way I don't eat the transit down time for the reprogram. Also, is the custom map for the Spec Ops 12R map finished?

Nope.
Different redline for sure, probably more things.

Roger, understand the difference with redline, valve etc. what I'm interested in knowing is if the hardware is the same and the only difference is the software.

The Direct Link cannot adjust redline, only the values in the fuel lookup tables.

As far as hardware, they are the same. Al will need to know if it is a stock or race ecm because there is a slight difference in how the Direct Link has to "address" the ecm when it starts the re-flash. Other than that they are identical. That isn't a perfect description, but hopefully you get the idea.

BTW there is no redline difference between the two ecms for the 9R. They are both 7500 rpm.
